I have always been interested in writing, for pleasure and for theraupeutic value. I started at an early age, and I have always written to commit my thoughts and dreams to paper. I have written several novels, and my specialty is mainstream fiction.
I was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan. I moved with my family to Houston at the age of five, where I lived throughout my high school years. I attended several universities, and moved to Austin to continue my education. I transferred to Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Social Work. I continued my education at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio and received a Masters degree in Social Work. My professional background includes counseling, drug and alcohol addiction treatment, and domestic violence issues. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, with independent practice recognition.
I have long dreamed of becoming a published author, to actually be able to see the fruits of my labors out in print. I am currently in the process of publishing my own manuscripts, and I plan to launch my first book in March, 2013. I hope to follow that with a second manuscript that I will publish in July 2013. I am very excited to be able to pursue this opportunity to achieve a life long dream. And I especially love it that I live in an age, in this, the 21st century, where it is absolutely possible to share my writings through my own efforts.
